CBP officers arrested a 25-year-old woman after an attempted narcotics smuggle at the Anzalduas-Reynosa International Bridge.
On May 12, officers encountered the woman driving a grey 2008 Dodge Avenger attempting to cross in from Mexico, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Upon inspection, a K9 unit detected something within the vehicle. Officers discovered 5 packages of methamphetamine, weighing approximately 11 pounds within the car. The narcotics were estimated at about $226,000.
The driver was arrested and the narcotics were seized.
