HAMILTON, Ohio —Two people are in jail after Butler County Sheriff’s deputies found $30,000 of methamphetamine in their car Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Andrew Beach, 32, and Heather Evans, 29, are charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs after police said they found nearly a pound of meth during a traffic stop.
Deputies said they also found $7,000 in cash in the car.
The couple had traveled to Hamilton from the Dayton area to sell the meth, deputies said.
Lt. Todd Langmeyer said the high-grade meth found Tuesday normally comes from Mexico. “If you’ve seen the ‘Breaking Bad’ series, this stuff is close to that,” he added.
The arrest was the result of a month-long investigation by the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) Taskforce and the Fairfield Township Police Department.
